The St Catherine North police are investigating a case of abduction after a 17-year-old girl was reportedly taken from her home early Tuesday morning. According to investigators, a group of some six men travelling in motor vehicles went to a house at Point Hill in the parish about 5 a.m. in search of a man, said to be the relative of the abducted girl, and part of a car-stealing ring. The girl and her mother were home at the time. Reports are that the men entered the house, and asked for the man before making checks themselves. When their intended target was not found, the girl was held and forced into one of the vehicles in which the men were travelling. The 17-year-old girl attends a prominent high school in the parish. |
