Victim, attacker shot dead

An 18-year-old man is one of two men who were shot and killed in related incidents at Maple View Road and Mahoe Drive in Kingston 11 on Saturday.

The Hunts Bay Police in St Andrew South have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shootings.

The dead men have been identified as André Champagnie, 18, otherwise called 'Pullo' of Maple View Road and 30-year-old Steve Coley otherwise called, 'Fanna' of Finch Crescent both in Kingston 11.

According to the Hunts Bay Police, about 1:05 p.m., Champagnie was walking along Maple View Road when a Toyota Corolla motor car with Coley and other men aboard drove up.

The men pulled guns and opened fire hitting Champagnie several times. He died on the spot.

In a bid to escape, the driver of the car sped off and Coley reportedly fell from the vehicle at nearby Mahoe Drive.

Further reports are that men from the community then attacked him and he was fatally shot.
