Kirshmar Santokie slammed an even 50 and then claimed 3-9 in guiding Race Course to an impressive 111-run win over Palmer's Cross at Treadlight, Clarendon as action continued in the SDC National 20/20 Community Cricket competition on the weekend. In the early game, Longville (150 a/o) defeated Canaan Heights (80 a/o) by 70 runs. Elsewhere at Four Paths, Sandy Bay defeated Frankfield by 56 runs thanks to Howard Copeland's all-round display of 85 and 3-20. Earlier, Mason River (139/7 from 20) carved out a 24-run triumph over Four Paths (115 a/o from 16). starred Copeland starred in the venue's feature, falling 15 runs short of a century, as Sandy Bay amassed 189-3 from 20 overs. Colis Johnson contributed heavily to the total with an unbeaten 54. In reply, the community from north Clarendon folded at 133-9 in 20 overs with Copeland bagging 3-20 from four overs and Derrick Spence, 2-2. Meanwhile the Super-Eight KO segment for the parish of St Thomas started yesterday with Johnson Mountain, Yallahs, Nutts River, Heartease all advancing to the semi-finals on July 12. |
