Man pleads guilty to injuring babymother

A man appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court yesterday for injuring his child's mother.

The accused man, Teon Tully, pleaded guilty to the charge of unlawful wounding after breaking a bottle in woman's head.

The allegations are that Tully threw a bottle at the complainant hitting her in the head. It is further alleged that the accused man and the complainant were involved in a fight prior to the bottle incident.

Tully, who told the court that the complainant burst his lip three times, said that he hit her with the bottle as a result of his injury.

Tully should return to court on July 24 for sentencing and was also ordered to bring $20,000 by the court.
