Cilantro Light - Contributed This week's 'In the Mix' column features a new mix, Cilantro Light, with STAR columnist and managing director of the Bars to Go Group of companies, Patrice McHugh. Summertime is perfect for fresh fruits and vegetables, and fresh ingredients make for fantastic cocktails! A favourite herb to use in summer is cilantro, because its distinct fresh taste is great in cold salads and cold drinks! Cilantro is extre-mely popular now in new culinary and beverage recipes. So here's something you can try with an accessible liquor - Red Stripe Light. Ingredients: Cilantro and Red Stripe Light 2oz tequila 3/4oz fresh lime juice 1oz Simple Syrup Red Stripe Light Cilantro Muddle (crush) cilantro into your mixing glass. Pour in the tequila, lime juice and simple syrup. Shake and strain into a hiball glass. Top with Red Stripe Light Beer. Garnish with fresh cilantro sprigs. Do you own a restaurant, or you're simply having a family get-together and there's a mix you'd like to try with a particular fruit, or liqueur, but you're not sure what to do?
