What is believed to have been an attack on a 48-year-old man turned into a double murder yesterday in Westmoreland after a woman who supposedly witnessed the murder was also killed.

The victims, 26-year-old Latoya Robinson and Cleve Fordon, were murdered about 1 p.m.

According to police reports, Robinson, said to be a known prostitute, was reportedly walking along Lime Tree Lane in Negril when a man passed her and approached Gordon, who was sitting in the company of another man.

The man pulled a gun and shot Gordon who died on the spot, while the other man managed to escape.

Robinson, who was only metres away, allegedly saw the murder and tried to run but was chased by the gunman and also shot.

She managed to reach her yard but collapsed and was pronounced dead.
