Dear Pastor,

I have something to confess to you. I have a niece who is living in Falmouth. She has two kids. The oldest one, the girl, is going to high school.

The long and short of the story is my niece is married to the children's father. She found out that he is gay and even so she did not believe it and was still with him until things got out of control.

To tell you the truth my niece and I never got along well from she was a child. My niece said I am wicked. But whatever wickedness I did to her she played a big role in it. The gay guy was not ready to get married and we forced it.

There was a police guy that she was dating for a little over a year. He used to leave his things there and he even had a pair of dark brown slippers there. I am the one she gave the money and told me what I was supposed to buy and 'fix up' the slippers.

I can't sleep at nights because my niece made me sprinkle the house for the policeman to stay. My niece used to go to church, but she has stopped and it is a good thing that she has stopped because she is doing a lot of things and when she is finished, she cries.

The other day the policeman got a girl pregnant. I sprinkle that yard all the while for the policeman to stay.

Please forgive me for all the wrong things I have been doing. My niece needs to come clean and ask God for forgiveness. There are a lot more dirty things we have done to this police guy, but if I tell you all of them, you are going to blast us because they are real nasty.

Pastor, please pray for me while I ask God to forgive me for what I have done to this girl. Please pray for me. Thank you.

You don't have to confess to me. You should confess to God. Evidently, you and your niece believe in nastiness. You are trying to 'tie' the policeman to stay with your niece.

I suppose a man must be careful where he leaves his slippers. You are a terrible woman, a real worker of iniquity.

Let me tell you something; sometimes when a man sees a woman well dressed, he can be attracted to her but it is a pity he cannot read her mind. That's why so many mothers in this beautiful land of ours warn their sons not to eat from women.

Poor policemen; every one of them needs to be careful where they eat and where they sleep, and where they leave their slippers and other belongings.
