Rising Stars host Yendi Phillipps - File Meadowbrook High School past student Sandy Smith also copped one of the coveted spots from Kingston, and the distinction of getting the most votes for the Kingston audition. "Oh God, words can't express how I feel. I am so happy, words really can't explain. I am blessed, and I am excited and I am ready to show Jamaica what I'm made of. I'm excited for the studio rounds to start." excitement Smith's friends and family are also showering her with support, and not having any qualms about sharing their excitement. There was no trace of solemness in 26-year old Adena Myrie's voice, only happiness. "It's a wonderful, wonderful feeling to make it into the top three. I'm just happy, happy, happy," she said, mentioning that the feeling is shared by her friends and family. can't wait "They feel great also. They seem happier than me". The Queen's High School alumnus is also very excited for the studio rounds to start, saying, "I'm very excited, I can't wait." It was a happy, yet nervous Jeremy Campbell when he realized that he was one of the three persons chosen from the Kingston auditions. 'It's a very exciting thing, I can't really express it. You know, I tried last year and I didn't make it. It was difficult to face family and friends after not going through, because you feel like you've disappointed them," said Campbell. He doesn't have that problem now, and his friends are treating him like a king. "Man, dem really excited. Dem all over me, and I mean, I'm back in Linstead where mi born and grow and me just done play some ball wid mi bredrin dem, and trust me, dem treat me like a don." Is he excited for the studio rounds to begin? nerve wracking "To tell you the truth, mi nervous. Mi well nervous and yeah, excited, but I can't help but feel nervous. It's a show that everybody watch and you know sometime you perform at a little concert or at a little birthday party, but is like when you perform now in front of all of Jamaica, it must be nerve wracking," he stated. However, words and excitement can't keep your favourite contestants in the competition, only votes can, so watch the Kingston studio finalists for Digicel Rising Stars on TVJ this Sunday and vote.
