12 interviewed in relation to foreign national's death

Twelve persons have been interviewed by the Major Investi-gation Task Force (MIT) in connection with the shooting death of foreign national, Tiki Stardust Steel Hunia of Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

Originally from New Zealand, Hunia was robbed and killed on Wednesday at a premises in Kingston where his wife, himself and a friend were staying.

Yesterday, the MIT met with medical personnel to confirm whether today (Friday) an autopsy will be conducted.

Police say about 7:20 p.m., Hunia and his wife were at a premises at Upper Montrose Road, St Andrew, when two men entered and tried to rob them. During the ordeal a struggle developed between Hunia's wife and one of the robbers. The robbers fired at them and Hunia was shot in the back. He was pronounced dead at hospital.
