Entertainer Zebra, whose real name is Garfield Vassell, is still being sought by the St Catherine North police in connection with a rape case.

Vassell, the police said, did not turned up at a stage show in Ocho Rios, St Ann, last Friday where he was scheduled to perform.

Police personnel who were waiting to interview the entertainer left empty-handed as he was a no-show.

Checks made by THE STAR at the Spanish Town Police Station revealed that the deejay remains a person of interest. It had been reported that the entertainer is wanted for questioning in relation to an incident in which his stepdaughter was sexually molested.

As a result, the mother of the child was also taken into custody as she reportedly admitted that she suspected that the child was being molested and did nothing about it.

In September of last year, the entertainer was released from prison after serving a 10-year sentence for rape. He is known for songs such as Redder Than Red and Rupert.
