STAR of the Month Tony Matterhorn is without a doubt a globetrotter.

Matterhorn has travelled to places unknown to most Jamaicans, mainly to select, but also to perform at shows such as Irie Jamboree and Best of the Best, among others. According to Matterhorn, he has been to North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

He cites Bermuda and Japan as two of the most interesting places he has been to. The only place Matterhorn won't travel, despite getting requests for shows, is Africa. He said, "Mi nah go Africa because of di whole injection ting, mi needle phobic. Mi nah get an injection (to prevent contracting diseases)."

Matterhorn told THE STAR that one of his main reasons for becoming a selector was to travel. "I always wanted to see the world. That's one of the reasons I don't mind the stress of travelling. That's why mi neva become a lawyer 'cause it would have taken too long before mi coulda start travel."
