'Nasty music' leads to beating |

|
A man who confronted a teenager and demanded that he stop playing vulgar music was scolded for his interference after the teen allegedly beat him with a cricket bat, the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court heard. The middle-age man suffered injuries to one of his hands. He told the court that on the day of the incident he was at the premises where both resided, when the accused teen, Ricardo Gooden, was playing music with expletives. argument developed He said he approached the youngster and told him to stop playing the "nasty music". According to the complainant, the teen did not take lightly to his request and an argument developed during which he was attacked and injured. Despite the allegations against him, the teen walked free yesterday as the complainant said he had since spoken with Gooden's stepfather and the issue had been resolved, hence he did not wish to pursue the matter any farther. The assault occasioning bodily harm charge against Gooden was dropped. |
