Dear Pastor, Good day to you. I am having a bit of love dilemma. I recently broke up with my boyfriend of five years and I am now falling in love with a guy with whom I have been messing around. I still love my ex but I like this new guy a lot. I can't be with the new guy though because it will pose a big problem in my life as everyone looks up to me in my community and my parents wouldn't approve of our relationship. Please give me your advice. Thank you. S.R. Dear S.R., Why should you be afraid to go out with the new guy if he is a man of integrity? If he is a man of shady character, you shouldn't have anything to do with him because you would be setting yourself up for trouble. Your parents wouldn't want you to have a criminal as your boyfriend; nor would anyone in the community, so be careful what you do. If your boyfriend is a man of good character, but he is not educated, he can go back to school. People may talk and wonder why you have stepped down, so to speak, but love so often causes people to do strange things. Pastor |
