More mingling at 'Dreaming in Digital'

She was all into her drink and music.

The large plasma screens all around the venue were testament to the 'Dreaming in Digital' theme of Heineken A-List, which was held at 'Dreamport' at Coal Wharf, Port Royal, last Saturday.

The digital feel was further enhanced by the large boom boxes, which gave a club vibe when songs like Chris Brown's Run It, Eve's Tambourine and Sean Paul's Get Busy were being played.

At this point, it seemed like quite the 'UPT' (Uptown) party that selector Mario C was referring to. This was also evident due to the exclusive nature of the party, as one had to get an invitation in order to buy the tickets which costs $4,000 for women and $5,000 for men.

About midnight, the fashionable patrons were trickling in, but they simply lined the bars and circled the bistro tables. Others went straight to the food area where there was a wide range of gourmet foods.

Coppershot joined the party with some early '90s hip-hop songs. Then, there were songs like Serani's No games, Mavado's I'm So Special, Flippa Mafia's Dem Ya, Assassin's Nuh Waan No Gal and Erup's Click Mi Finger.

The venue was slowing filling up, but there were many patrons who preferred to mingle instead of dance with the loud music in their ears.

Richie D brought the musical energy to a different level with Vybz Kartel and Spice's Rampin' Shop, Busy Signal's Tight and Jamie Foxx's Blame It. Later, there was a lot of alternative songs to which the patrons responded very well and raved to.
