Man remanded for stabbing sister

A man accused of stabbing his sister in her neck told the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday that his action was an accident.

Resident Magistrate Georgianna Frazer did not believe his story and added that the stab resulted in his sister spending three days in the hospital.

The accused man, Joselyn Coote, a conductor of a Kingston 11 address, was charged with felonious wounding and remanded for the offence.

According to the court report, Coote went to his sister house where an argument developed.

It is alleged that the accused man and his sister had several confrontations before the day in question. It is reported that Coote had threaten to kill his sister on numerous occasions.

He is to return to court on July 30.
