Cops probe shooting death

Detectives from the Half-Way Tree police in St Andrew have commenced a probe into the shooting death of an unidentified man at Blaine Lane, Cedar Valley Road, Kingston 6, yesterday.

The dead man is believed to be in his 30s. He is of dark complexion, slim build, about 180 centimetres tall and was clad in a green-striped shirt, green short pants, white socks and brown sneakers.

Reports are that about 7:20 a.m., residents heard explosions in the area and summoned the police. On arrival of investigators, the body, with gunshot wounds, was found lying in a lane in the community. The crime scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue for post-mortem and identification.

Investigation continues.
