Dear Pastor, Good day to you. I am a 22-year-old Christian girl and I have a problem. I was going to church when I met this guy in Jamaica. We have a relationship that has been going on for almost two years. It caused me to slip away from the church. I moved to the United States and I started going back to church. I am now a born-again Christian. My problem is that he wants to get married to me but he is not ready to commit to the church. Pastor, how do I deal with this problem? I, too, want to get married to him but they say he is not a Christian. What should I do, pastor? Please, I need your help. Thanks a lot and God bless you. T.S., United States Dear T.S., This man caused you to go astray, as a Christian. Now you have rededicated yourself to Christ and both of you want to be married. He has not changed. It is not a matter that he should commit himself to the church. The commitment should be to Jesus Christ. You have declared he is not ready to do so. Therefore, I could not encourage you to marry him. If you do, you will have trouble with your father-in-law, the devil. Pastor |
