Dear Pastor,

I am a 20-year-old girl that has a daughter, who is now one year and six months. She is the love of my life. Her father is 37 years old. Things are not going well with us. At first, he was not around for the child. He has said that if we don't have sex, then he will not look after the child. However, I cannot get over him.

Although I do love him and he has asked for my forgiveness a number of times, I just don't think he is ready to keep one partner. As time went by, I started dating and found a very sympathetic guy who loves me dearly. He would do anything for me, but I still can't get over the father of my baby, no matter what I do. And, sadly the man that I am now dating, I have no feelings for him.

Please, tell me what to do.

Dear N.W.,

May I suggest that you end the relationship with the guy you are dating, it does not make any sense. You shouldn't be going with a man you do not love. Although your child's father is running around, you still love him. I hope that he would come to his senses and end his wild life. Whatever he may do, don't allow your emotions to run away. Don't go with another man to try to get over him, you will get hurt. Wait on the Lord. He knows your needs and He will take care of you.
