Carlton Gayle - Painting a positive picture |
|||||
![]() Rasbert Turner, Star Writer Entertainer Carlton Gayle, also known as Mega Flex, is painting a positive picture on the music calendar with his culturally uplifting lyrics. Gayle, who hails from the cool parish of Manchester, said that music is the best method to teach and that is why he continues to do positive music. His current hit, Shipment of High Grade, is getting good rotation on radio stations. ''When a song is written there must be some form of inspiration, and for me, the things around me inspire me, so the song (Shipment of High Grade) is giving my views on what should be done for the weed,'' Mega Flex told THE STAR. Mega Flex also said that he was not a stranger to music, as for the last 15 years, he has been recording various songs and producing other artistes. Among his other songs is one called Johnny Be Good. He is currently working with reggae artiste Lutan Fyah on The Peoples' Cry which he said is a culturally awakening song. "Right now I am working out with Bloozic Productions and things are looking up for the Flex, so for now, is just more music going out for me ... there is another level that I have to reach," Gayle said. According to Mega Flex, he looks to the great Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Tony Rebel and Lutan Fyah for his continued motivation in a music business that can be quite tough at times. For Mega Flex, music is the universal language for all who want to learn. He therefore, intends to continue making his contribution. |
