A man who walks with crutches outran residents who made after him when they claimed he was attempting to break into a house in Angels, St Catherine, yesterday morning.

The man was, however, held later by a woman in the Eltham Acres community shortly after he allegedly attempted to break her house.

The man who the police called the 'crutches runner', has been identified as Don Taylor of a St Mary address.

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that Taylor was allegedly held in the Eltham community about 3 p.m. while attempting to enter the woman's house.

Inspector Paul Thomas said; "He was caught by a female... He was held and handed over to the police."

Investigators said that he would face the court later this week.
