A 51-year-old farmer was shot and killed and his body set ablaze in his car in Shooters Hill, St Andrew, yesterday morning.

Dead is Roger Johnson of St Benedict Heights, Kingston 17

Reports are that about 7:10 a.m., residents heard explosions coming from the direction of Johnson's farm and alerted the police. The police arrived to find a Nissan motor car ablaze, with the farmer's body inside. The fire was extinguished and the body removed to the morgue for a post-mortem.
