Shooting on Sophia Brown's latest video Give Me That Good Love wrapped recently in Los Angeles and the reggae songstress is very happy with how everything developed and came together. The video, she says, incorporated six wardrobe changes, lots of love scenes, dance scenes and was all round a very professional effort. "I stepped it up a notch," Brown said gleefully. "This video is very sexy. So look for a lot of sexiness in this video. Fellas, trust me, I did do this one to please you all. I did it all for you." The video was shot in late October during Brown's visit to California to perform at a nightclub. She missed the date because of flight delays but everything else went well. "Give Me That Good Love is a love song with a lot of love scenes in the bedroom, on the couch. And of course, we did the dance scene and we had some really good sets that we put together with lots of lights and great dancers," Brown said. But perhaps the biggest highlight for Brown was working with handsome Hollywood actor/model Ethan Stone. Stone, an English literature graduate from Princeton University, had appeared in Hancock and Seven Pounds as a photo double for lead actor Will Smith. He has also had a feature role in an episode of the hit Fox TV series Prison Break. A two-time All American decathlete, Stone was featured in the abs diet section in the October edition of Men's Health Magazine. He also works as a disc jockey. "It was really good to get him on set to work with," Brown said. "He is a real perfectionist. He loved the song and did a very good job." Director Kai Morris did an excellent job, Brown said. She added that his wife, Giselle, worked wonders with the wardrobe and she got great support from her associate in Los Angeles, Junior Blake. "I am very satisfied," she said.
It is expected to take two to three weeks for the editing to be done but Brown wants to wait a little while longer before she releases the video, explaining that she is reluctant to release it so close to the end of the year. She prefers instead to do so in early 2010.
Meanwhile, Give Me That Good Love is reportedly doing well overseas and is being seen as a good follow-up to her last hit single, Weak To You. Brown reveals that the song has got people in the music industry to pay attention to her work and even though she is not yet ready to divulge details, says the attention is already beginning to yield results.
These latest developments have her thinking that she might have to produce an album for 2010, a year earlier than she had planned. "The future is looking bright for me," she said.
