Despite the continuous trials that author Joan Wright has had to face, she is still intent on living the victorious life.

The author of the recently published book, From Brokenness to Victory, has almost overnight become a role model to many women and young girls who have experienced physical abuse in their relationships, especially in the Church, but until now, thought it was best to keep silent on the issue.

As a spin-off, Wright has been busy with speaking engagements across the island. She was the guest speaker at a recent women's conference held at the prestigious Iberostar Hotel in Rosehall, Montego Bay.

The author, who believes that a change can only come when the Church becomes transparent and when the men start loving their wives as Christ loves the Church, has been creating waves from the looks of the responses from readers and from the inventory of stores.
