Sean 'Due' Lashley GoodThyme Click/MaxaMusic has been generating a buzz that the music industry hasn't experienced since the late '90s. With the help of the likes of Johnny Wonder, Flabba and Ghetto Bomb, who represent the industry standards for digital and street distribution of dancehall and reggae MP3's, and marketing in Jamaica, respectively, GoodThyme Click/MaxaMusic is developing a strong following of core fans and supporters. Sean 'Due' Lashley, President of GoodThyme Click/MaxaMusic, who hails from the McCalla family in St Catherine, is known for working with A-list Reggae and R&B Artistes. He often teams up with Fran Cathcart of Automatik Musik to produce music that crosses all demographics. Currently, Lashley is completing Meryl Carter's debut album and developing her show for a promo tour in Spring 2010. Lashley's production, fine tuned by Tony Maserati's and Kunley's (Ward 21) mixing and mastering are developing a sound that can compete with the biggest names in the industry. From the production, Tifa's new single, Holding Power which is powered by the Weapon rhythm, is getting huge positive feedback abroad from industry insiders. Most importantly, Tifa's fans love the song and request the song daily for additional airplay. R&B Sensation Meryl Carter has been on the road for the past three weeks doing shows each night. Her song Your Lovin (which features Vybz Kartel) is winning rave reviews internationally. "The weirdest thing to me is we are selling a lot of downloads and units and our engine has just started. We didn't even shoot videos yet. When you have the formula, you just have it," said Lashley. The GoodThyme click/MaxaMusic team has also received tremendous love and support from veterans like Selector Richie B, Alrick & Boyd and DJ Liquid. Afrique and The Union's own DJ Norie has also shown strong support on NYC's WWPR Power 105.1FM Caribbean Programming, Sundays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. |
