Pliers - Contributed Real name: Everton Bonner Birthdate: April 10 School attended: Rock Hall All-Age Why did you get into the music business? I believe to be in the music business is my destiny. It's like I was ordained to be a singer. From I was a youth I realised that God blessed me with a special talent to write and sing melodic songs. So I just followed that path in life. Major songs:Murder She Wrote, Tease Me, Twist and Shout, I Wanna Be Your Man and She Don't Let Nobody. What part of the business is your favourite? The thing I like the most about the music business is the opportunity to travel the world and perform in various countries and continents. It is really a nice experience to meet people of different nationalities and cultures. What is even nicer is to see how much they love Jamaicans and Jamaican music. What do you dislike about it? Interviews, because sometimes people ask some very unnecessary questions. What do you think is Jamaica's biggest problem? Jamaica's biggest problems right now are corruption and disunity. Right now the whole country is in a state of moral decay and this will not change until we get rid of corruption and disunity. What have you been up to lately? Well I recently recorded a new solo album titled SexandReligion and I also shot a video for the first single off the album, Sweet Memories. So I am busy on the road, constantly promoting the album and the single. Where do you see yourself in the next five years? Just being me, the same Pliers the people love all over the world, making good music and making my career bigger and better. |
