Star Tell Me Pastor

Silent partners

Dear Pastor,

My good friend has a secret that is only known to both of us. She is the wife of a pastor. One night while we were at church where we both attend, I caught her having sex in the library with one of the deacons. They didn't see me, so I ran out of the room.

What should I do? Should I tell her husband (the pastor)? Or should I leave it alone?

A.R.

Dear A.R.,

You said what happened was a secret between the pastor's wife and yourself. How could that be? I ask the question because you said that when you saw the deacon and the pastor's wife, you ran out of the library, so they did not see you. Well, how is it then a secret between the woman and yourself and she did not see you?

Is it that you confronted her later about what you saw? It seems to me if you saw the pastor's wife having sex with a deacon, the incident is known among the three of you and God.

You would like to know whether you should tell the pastor. That is up to you, sir. You have to decide, in your mind, whether it would cause good or bad. That is all I am prepared to say. If you know you are speaking the truth ask God for guidance. Whatever you believe God is directing you to do, obey Him.

Pastor
