Police investigate MoBay nightclub shootings

The Police from the Montego Bay CIB have launched a probe into the shooting death of two men and the injuring of a teenager at a nightclub on Jarrett Street, Montego Bay, St James, yesterday morning.

Dead are Marvin Calvin Senior, 33, of Mount Crawford, Mount Salem, in the parish, and an unidentified man believed to be about 25 years old. The unidentified man is of slim build, about 173 centimeters (5 feet 8 inches) long and was in blue jeans and a green and white polo shirt. Injured is an 18-year-old female.

Reports are that about 3:00 a.m., Senior was sitting in a motor car outside the nightclub when a man walked up to him, pulled a firearm and shot him repeatedly.

The gunman then entered the club where he saw and opened fire on the unidentified man. The man ran into a room but was chased and shot by the gunman who then fled. Senior and the unidentified man died on the spot.

It was later discovered that the 18-year-old female, who was inside the room the unidentified man had run into, was shot and injured. The police were called and the injured teen was taken to hospital where she was admitted in serious condition. The police processed the crime scene and the bodies of the men were removed to the morgue for post-mortem.

Investigations continue.
