Chuck Fenda officially the 'Living Fire' - Deejay undergoes name change |

Reggae artiste Chuck Fenda has changed his stage name to the 'Living Fire'. "A di time fi know seh di Living Fire name haffi come upfront," he told THE STAR. He added: "We transcend from Chuck Fenda to the Living Fire. We bun crime and violence, injustice and rape. To weh mi stand for and di type a song dem weh mi do over the years, mi decide seh a di 'Living Fire' name haffi go forward fi 2010." The new name is also the title of the album he released in 2007. The Gash Dem-artiste said he has been contemplating the name change for a few months. "Way back since the album a put together, to the vibing weh mi get, wi just haffi approach it with a 'Living Fire'," Chuck Fenda said. He said the new name is one which people will get use to easily because the phrase has always been part of his songs. "All a mi song dem start with 'living fire'. We been using it for a while but officially now a just Living Fire," he told THE STAR. "People love the name 'cause dem know seh a dat mi stand for. I am just the fire element. A me seh gash dem and light dem." In addition, he said the name will be on all his new songs. And, the change will also be made to his myspace page. As for his album 'Fulfillment', he said he is promoting singles on it like Bad Boy (featuring Sammy Dread), Cold For The Money and Herbalist Farmer, which are all on itunes and charts in the United States and United Kingdom. And, he said he has an European tour in January, as well as appearances on all the major shows in Jamaica for the holiday season.
