Motorist finds illegal firearm |

|
An illegal firearm containing ammunition was found at Eureka Road, Cross Roads, Kingston 5 on Monday and handed over to the police. Information received by the CCN is that about 5 a.m., a motorist travelling along Eureka Road saw the weapon on the road and stopped his vehicle over it, concealing it. He then called the police 119 emergency number. handed over Shortly after, a police patrol passing by observed the vehicle blocking the roadway and stopped to investigate. The officers were shown the weapon under the vehicle, which when retrieved, was a .38 revolver containing six rounds of ammunition. It was subsequently handed over to the lawmen. |
