Dying to get help

Dear Pastor,

I am seeking your advice and assistance. I am 30. I had my first child, recently, for a man I thought was genuine and good but it seems he was only pretending. If I don't find a way to earn some money to support my child, it's likely I will lose my sanity, go to prison or commit suicide. I have been through so much suffering and my child's father is adding to my misery. He has total control of my life. He knows I'm not well and I'm dependant on him, so he is torturing me. He refuses to give me any money. When we have an argument he stays away from his child and I.

Please, help me, I don't want my child to suffer.

Desperate

Dear Desperate,

Why haven't you taken him to court for maintenance? That is the way to go. Ask the judge to order him to pay the money to the court. You should bring this relationship to an end. It is not in your best interest to continue.
