CRASH KILLS TEEN

Marlon Nyack, 18, from Florida, USA, died from injuries sustained in an accident along the Carey Park main road in Trelawny yesterday. Four others were injured. Reports are that about 2 a.m., a Hyundai Matrix motor car with Nyack and four others was travelling along the roadway when it collided with an International tractor trailer travelling in the opposite direction. The occupants of the car sustained injuries and were taken to hospital where Nyack died.

MAN SHOT DEAD

The St Catherine North Homicide Unit has commenced investigations into the shooting death of an unidentified man on Old Harbour Road, Spanish Town, on Sunday. The dead man is believed to be about 25, of dark complexion, about 250lb, 180 centimetres (5 feet 11 inches) tall, clean shaved and was clad in Khaki-brand underwear, blue jeans pants and black Timberland boots. Police said about 4:30 p.m., residents walking along the roadway saw the body in a canal and called the police. It had several bullet wounds.

15-YEAR-OLD MISSING

Shantina Bowen, 15, of Glasspole Avenue, Kingston 2, has been reported missing from home since December 11. She is of dark complexion, medium build and about 163 centimetres (5 feet 4 inches) tall. Police said about 4 p.m., Bowen was discovered missing from home. At the time she went missing, she was wearing blue jeans shorts and a grey blouse. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Shantina Bowen is being asked to contact the Rockfort police at 922-2941, police, 119 emergency numbers or the nearest police station.

BODY FOUND IN WELL

The decomposing body of a man was found in a well at Salt Pond main road, Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Sunday. It was in an advanced state of decomposition and clad in blue jeans pants.

Reports are that about 6:30 a.m., the police investigated reports that a body had been seen in a well. A search was carried out and the remains located and removed. The Spanish Town CIB is investigating.
