How did you get started in the business?

Denyque: I linked with Brian from Rockwildaz and then Arrows Recording where I did my first single Can't Breathe. Now I have a whole new team and my manager Jade Lee.

What has been your greatest challenge in the business yet?

Denyque: Making marks as a young artiste, but I always remember that time is the master of everything and this is a process; so I work hard and take it one day at a time.

What have you been up to lately?

Denyque: Performing and campaigning, this past season was a great one for me. I performed at a lot of shows, I was on Usain's pre-charity show reception, Asafa's 'Night on the Tracks' and Sting which were all amazing experiences. I learnt a lot. I also just recently got nominated for 'Favourite New Artiste of the Year' in the Youth View Awards so I'm very excited about that.

Do you look up to any specific artiste and why?

Denyque: I actually don't have a specific artiste I look up to. My influences vary because locally I love Busy Signal, Bugle, Tessanne Chin and Internationally Alicia Keys, Keri Hilson, Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga etc. My musical taste is pretty broad.

Are you happy with the way things are going for your musical career right now?

Denyque: Definitely, I have an amazing team and we're just shooting for the stars and beyond. Dream, hope, believe and go hard or go home.

Do you have any advice for young artistes coming up?

Denyque: The sky's not the limit, the limit is beyond the sky, so fly.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

Denyque: I will have accomplished at least three of my small goals, one or two of my big ones, and continuously make music. I will definitely be where I deserve to be.
