Following up on the success of the Brainstorm and Maad A Road rhythms released late last year, producer Richie Loops from the Scikron Entertainment/Big Yard label has released his latest project called Sweat Shop.

Three singles have been released on the rhythm that dropped late last week, Loops tells THE STAR. The producer, who also doubles as a singer, is on the rhythm with his song Gal Wine, as well as Ice Man with his song Mischievous, and the trio Voicemail with their song Dip and Come Up.

Loops describes the rhythm that sounds more like a fusion of Soca and Dancehall - as having a Caribbean flavour. Word from the studio is that dancehall 'bad gyal' Ce'Cile was expected to voice a track on the rhythm, as well as Mr Boombastic, Shaggy.

Ce'Cile confirmed in an interview with THE STAR that would be recording a song on the rhythm. "I'm gone like three attempts. I will be recording a fourth ... ," she said. "I'd rather not go on such a great beat if the song isn't right. When you're working with people like Robert Livingston, you have to come correct and worldwide."

Ce'Cile has previously worked with Loops having voiced a song on his Brainstorm rhythm, Ansa, a response to a song called Question from D-Lynx. The rhythm also featured Richie Loops with Wants It Good and Voicemail's Call Me.

The producer's last release for 2009, The Maad A Road rhythm, featured songs by Chris Martin, D-Lynx, Lukie D, Rae Tay and Red Fox. The songs got steady rotation locally.

Sweat Shop represents the first of several projects set to be launched from Scikron/Big Yard for the first quarter of 2010.
