I often read your column and I enjoy it so much. I am 26 years of age and I am in a very good job. I am a Christian, but even before becoming a Christian, I never had sex because I have a bent penis.

All the girls that I have dated believe that I am a perfect gentleman, but that is far from the truth. The truth is, I would love to have sex. I wanted sex, but I could not manage. And it has been like this for a while.

I have a girlfriend. She is a good woman. I cannot tell her my problem. I would like to hear from you how best I should deal with this problem.

Judging from what you have said, I believe that you are suffering from Peyronie's disease. And I would encourage you to seek medical attention.

Peyronie's disease

It is still not known what causes Peyronie's disease. Sometimes, it affects a person suddenly, but it may also develop slowly. If the penis is badly bent or curved, it would not be possible for you to have sex.

Sometimes, doctors suggest surgery, but unless you can get assurance from a urologist that after surgery all would be well, I would not encourage you to do so.

Please do not tell your girlfriend about the problem. Seek help. She does not have to know what is happening to you. This is not a matter that everybody ought to know. Your girlfriend may say it to someone else and before you know it, everyone may begin to talk about it and embarrass you.
