St Catherine clubs still on top of South Central Super League
Richard Bryan, STAR Writer

The tussle at the top of the South Central Confed Super League remains a St Catherine affair as Tru-Juice travelled to Cobbla in Manchester to defeat homeside Hillstars 2-0 in last weekend's ninth round.

Dexter Genus (75th) and Dwayne Lewin (83rd) scored for Tru Juice to record the only victory among the five St Catherine teams. The win lifted them to 20 points, but was not good enough to displace leaders Meadows. Meadows remained unbeaten while maintaining a slim one point lead at the top despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Tafari Lions.

The most significant win at the weekend came in Clarendon where Monymusk, courtesy of a brace from Christopher Dunn, defeated Woodhall 3-0 in a lop-sided parish derby. The win helped Monymusk displace Tafari Lions from the top five. The top four remain unchanged though, with Newlands in third and Naggo Head in fourth.

Downs, who surrendered a 2-0 lead against Bodles, remain in eighth position, but Hillstars, Original Hazard, Woodhall and Leeds remain rooted in the relegation-bound bottom four.
