Cops hunt man in fatal accident
The Lionel Town Traffic Department is searching for the driver of a motor car which reportedly mowed down a 12-year-old boy along the Hayes main road in Clarendon on Monday afternoon.

The boy has been identified as Jeremiah Thomas of Portland Cottage in the parish.

Reports from the department are that about 12:30 p.m, Thomas was walking along the main road on his way from school and was hit by the vehicle which is said to have got out of control and rode the embankment.

The driver then reportedly fled the scene, leaving the motor car behind.

Thomas was taken to the Lionel Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead and the vehicle was seized by the police.
