A man accused of biting his babymother on the hand and shoulders during an argument, was on Friday dragged before the gavel to answer to a charge of unlawful wounding. Allegations are that on the day of the incident, both parties got involved in a dispute when the accused, Kevin Scott, bit the complainant, Mitzy Ashmond. Scott, however, explained to the court that he went to the complainant's house to collect his child so they could go somewhere. He explained that he asked the complainant to come along as well but she declined. So he held her hand and tried to pull her along. He further explained that this was when she bit him on the hand and he returned the favour. The complainant, however, told the court that Scott had apologised and she did not wish to pursue the matter any further, given that the Resident Magistrate (RM) gave him a stern warning. RM Georgianna Fraser cautioned Scott before admonishing and discharging the matter. |
