Star Tell Me Pastor

Young and the reckless get ketch

Dear Pastor,

I am a confused 16-year-old. I am having a serious problem. I was with a guy for a year and couple months. We split last month because I was cheating on him and he got tired of it and cheated on me with another girl. However, we worked that out. One night he came to my house and we were talking; the other guy I cheated on him with called me and told me that he wanted me to go somewhere with him, so I said yes. I told my boyfriend that I was going to do something for my neighbour. When I came back, he was leaving and I told him I was sorry and he came back to the house with me; we talked and tried to work things out again, but it obviously didn't because he slept with the other girl the Friday after that; so we ended the relationship. We still called each other and we talked for hours a few nights.

He told me she is two months pregnant for him, so I backed off and told her she could have him. Anyway, he doesn't want it that way. He wants us to be friends so I agreed; but it went past friendship recently. We had sex and it was great. During that time she called him and he told her 'later' and hung up. Sometimes I wonder if he still loves me. He says he does, but I don't know. Right now I am wondering if I am pregnant because I don't feel so well for the past couple days, and I am always sleepy.

Help me, Pastor. I am thinking about becoming a Christian and turning my life around, but it's as if I can't do it without him. He is the first guy I have ever loved.

Dear N. R.,

When girls have unprotected sex, anything can happen. You were aware that this so-called boyfriend had impregnated another girl and you went and had sex with him. Now you are fretting that you may be pregnant.

I suggest you go to the doctor and tell him/her what is happening to you. He/she will confirm whether or not you are pregnant. Learn to behave. Stick with one guy.

Pastor
