Football teams draw at the top

Wanderers FC and Daytona are locked at the top of the Colin Fagan-sponsored Leander Marshall/Portmore U-13 Football League, following contrasting results on Saturday.

Wanderers surged to six points with their second win in as many matches, with a commanding 3-0 victory over pointless Ascot, and lead Daytona on superior goal difference.

Daytona, on the other hand, got their second win without bursting a sweat as their opponents, Portsmouth, were a no show. Daytona beat Ascot 2-1 in the previous round.

In other games last Saturday, third-place teams Cumberland (four) and Passagefort, shared the points in a 1-1 draw, whereas Waterford clipped Arlington 2-1 to move to fifth position with three points.

The competition continues today with a full slate of games.
