Super League outfit Cavalier continued their giant-killing act by eliminating Premier League champions Tivoli Gardens 2-1 in the Claro/KSAFA Jackie Bell knockout competition at the Harbour View Mini Stadium on Sunday.

On a night when the unfancied teams emerged victorious, August Town clipped Boys' Town 1-0 in the all-Premier League match-up to set up a final date with Cavalier.

Cavalier, who are lying second in the Claro Super League, one point behind Rae Town with a game in hand, also knocked out Premier League title contenders Waterhouse in the quarter-finals.

This time, they came from behind to knock out the defending champions in extra time after Owen Powell had given Tivoli a 63rd-minute lead.

Donovan Alvaranga levelled the game in the 79th minute, sending the game into extra time before David Laylor secured the winner in the 105th minute.

Earlier, Akeem Thenstead fired home in the 53rd minute after Boys' Town defender Asrick Samuels miskicked in the 18-yard box.

August Town had previously eliminated many-time champion Arnett Gardens 3-0 at the quarter-final stage.

Rae Town, Central Kingston and Allman/Woodford top Claro leagues

With Cavalier idle, Rae Town assumed sole leadership of the Claro/KSAFA Super League with an impressive 3-0 whipping of Barbican at Breezy Castle.

The league's top marksman Damion Jackson grabbed a brace in the 76th and 89th minutes for his 16th and 17th goals of the season. He is now four clear of Mountain View's Troyland Williams on 13.

Strike partner James Durrant, with his fifth goal, had opened the scoring in the 17th minute as Rae Town continued their prolific form in notching their 12th win from 18 games.

They moved to 41 points, one ahead of Cavalier who has a game in hand against Mountain View. Barbican with their ninth loss remained in eighth on 19 points.

Casey Lake and Henroy Davis in the 23rd and 53rd minutes respectively had briefly given Swallowfield a glimmer of hope of securing a share of the points. But that was not to be and they crashed to their 12th defeat from 15 games to remain rooted at the bottom on five points.

Second-place Rockfort dropped two crucial points after being held to a 0-0 draw by Brown's Town at the Bull Pen. Rockfort, who started the day joint top on 33 points, inched to 34 points and are two behind leaders Central Kingston with six games remaining.
