Comedians Leighton Smith and Dufton Shepherd have assured fans of a "bag of laughter" when they grace the stage at the Mi Nah Laugh comedy show, Sunday, February 28, at the Courtleigh Auditorium, New Kingston.

Mi Nah Laugh, organised by 2007 Comedy Buss winner, Rohan Gunter, is in its third season and boasts a line-up of top Jamaican comedians including Smith and Shepherd.

It is dubbed as a five-star event. when contacted by THE STAR, Smith, who promises to entertain his audience while analysing the government, wasn't short of praises for the much-anticipated event.

"It's the only comedy show I've been to and had to ask if it was a wedding reception, due to the decoration of the event. The event is going to be good because of two reasons - I'm going to be there and Gunter organised it," he said.

Last year's event proved to be a hit, as long before the event's scheduled February 28 date, tickets were sold out. This is just one of the many reasons, Shepherd believes comedy in Jamaica is increasing rapidly.

"Stand-up comedy is evolving and being appreciated widely. The newer comedians are approaching the industry in a different and successful style. There are certain jokes that, after months gone, people are still talking about it then," said Shepherd in a telephone interview with THE STAR.

The other comedians billed for the event are Christopher 'Johnny' Daley, Pretty Boy Floyd, Elva, Lemon, Hilarious Granny, Dwight Samuels, Delroy Sparks and promoter Gunter.
