The St James Police High Command has released the names and identities of nine of the parish's most wanted and eight others who are considered persons of interest.

The information was propagated to the media by commanding officer in charge of the St James Division, Superintendent Merrick Watson, at a press briefing on Friday. The men have been wanted since December 2006 and January 2010.

"Due to the spate of crime taking place in St James, we think that it is necessary to release the names of the wanted men and those persons of interest in the public domain, so that the public can assist us in bringing them to justice," Watson said.

Among those on the most-wanted list are Orane 'City Puss' Bernard of Flankers, St James, who frequents Ramble in Hanover. He is wanted in connection with the triple murder of Lloyd Campbell, Romaine Whyte and Garth Campbell.

Ti-Shane Anthony Shaw, alias 'Mango Head,' of Capitol Heights in Green Pond and who frequents Fellman Corner and Pleasant View in Salt Spring and Golden Heights in St James, is wanted in connection with a quadruple murder involving Ryan Mendez et al.

Nerral Barrett, of Torodo Heights in Coral Gardens, Iron Shore and Flower Hill in St James, is wanted for wounding with intent.

Oral Vernon of Dalling Street in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, is wanted in connection with the murder of Jovaughna Anderson.

Dermot Robinson, of Cornwall Courts, St James and Falmouth in Trelawny, is wanted for robbery with aggravation.

Nino 'Dutty' Lewis of Glendevon, and who frequents Dallas, Lilliput and Barrett Hall in St James, is wanted in connection with the murder of Andrew Blair and wounding with intent of Gleason Calvert.

Gregory 'Dutch Man' Cole of Supermarket in Salt Spring and who frequents Glendevon in St James and Delacree Road, St Andrew, is wanted for the double murder of Rodney 'Bob' Duhaney and Arnardo Sawyers.

Gary 'Lava' Buchanan of Lima, near Adelphi, who frequents Goodwill and Dumfries, St James and Wakefield, Trelawny, is wanted in connection with the murder of Jeffrey Johnson.

André Pinnock, is wanted for wounding with intent.

Watson said the persons of interest can assist them with crimes committed across the parish. These include Roy 'Silly Billy' Campbell of Pitfour Capture Land, St James and Pell River, Hanover. He is wanted for questioning in connection with shootings and murders committed in Pitfour.

Lexan Campbell of Saigon in Barrett Town also frequents Pitfour Capture Land in St James. Police want to question him for wounding with intent.

Richard 'Blacks' Lorn of Hendon, Norwood, Dallas who frequents Green Pond and Glendevon, St James, is wanted for questioning in connection with shooting and wounding with intent.

Kerris Doyle of Crawford Street, Mount Salem, St James, needs to be questioned in connection with shooting with intent.

Kaneal 'Ken' Williams of Crawford Street, Mount Salem, needs to be questioned for shootings.

The others are known only by their aliases. 'Zen', of Huger Lane, Paradise, Norwood, is wanted for questioning about shootings and murders.

'Max', also of Huger Lane, is linked to shootings, along with 'Sud', of Hollywood, Norwood, St James.
