Manchester cops seize 265lb of ganja

Police in Manchester seized approximately 120kg (265lb) of ganja yesterday.

According to reports, a police team was conducting spot checks in a section of the parish about 10 a.m. when the driver of a Toyota motor car was signalled to stop.

Instead of complying, the driver reportedly sped off and the police gave chase.

The driver eventually lost control of the vehicle which overturned. He managed to escape without being held by the police.

The vehicle was subsequently searched and seven knitted bags with 31 packages of compressed ganja were reportedly found.
