Tax reminder goes mobile |

As of March 8, the Tax Administration expanded its Tax Reminder Service - TAXREM, which allows persons to receive text message reminders and notices. So there is no need to worry about missing a payment as TAXREM will now automatically send reminders and notices in relation to motor vehicle registration certificate expiry, certificate of fitness expiry, general consumption tax (GCT), income tax and PAYE filing and/or paying, tax compliance certificate (TCC) and/or stamp and transfer documents ready for pick-up. sign up Interested persons can sign up for this free service by contacting the Tax Administration's Customer Care Centre at 1-888-TAX-HELP (1-888-829-4357) or 902-9463, visiting the Tax Administration's online portal www.jamaicatax-online.gov.jm, create login if you do not already have one. Once logged in, register under the tax reminders link/option, or visiting any Tax Office, speak with a Taxpayer Service Officer and complete the relevant form. Persons who have already signed up for TAXREM can update their information online to indicate the additional reminder/notices you would like to receive. |
