A 22-year-old man who is alleged to be a member of the notorious Spanish Town-based Clansman gang and who was already facing a gun charge has now found himself in more trouble.

Aston Dailey of a Thompson Pen address in St Catherine is alleged to have made threats on the life of a policeman while he was about to go into custody at the Spanish Town Police Station.

It is alleged that on March 2, Dailey was being placed into lock-up when he told a policeman that he would kill him as soon as he received bail.

He was subsequently charged with assaulting and threatening a police officer.

At the time of the reported incident, Dailey had been given bail but was unable to take up the bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on March 24.
