Daryl Simpson, 25, of Salt Spring and Liston Dodd, 26, of Garlands, both in St James, were shot dead in separate incidents in the parish on Tuesday.

Reports are that about 1 p.m., residents of Dun Lane in Salt Spring heard explosions and called the police. When the officers arrived they found Simpson's bullet-riddled body on the roadway. The lawmen processed the crime scene and the body was removed to the morgue.

Approximately an hour later, a passerby saw Dodd's body on the Catadupa main road and called the police. It was examined by investigators who went to the area and found several gunshot wounds. The body was removed to the morgue.

The incidents are being investigated by the Montego Bay and Spring Mount CIBs respectively.
