|
Seven girls from a prominent high school in St Catherine were taken in to police custody after being picked up at a house where a gun was confiscated. The St Catherine North police seized an illegal gun about 11 a.m. yesterday while on patrol in the Homestead community. It is alleged that while passing a house, it was observed that the schoolgirls, in uniforms, were behaving strangely. The police said they swooped down on the house and saw a group of men inside. One of the men is reported to have escaped, leaving a pistol behind. Police said they are doing further investigations in matter with a view of laying charges for breaches of the Firearms Act. |
