Family feud leads to murder

A Clarks Town, Manchester-based family will be sleeping with broken hearts for many nights after a dispute between two relatives, over what some residents are saying was land title. The dispute has left one dead and the other facing a possible murder charge.

Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that on Wednesday, the two cousins, 36-year-old Wesley 'Bingy' Kerr, and his 42-year-old cousin, were at home when they got into an argument.

Police said about 4 p.m. the cursing match took a deadly turn when weapons were drawn and a machete was used to chop Kerr in the forehead and back. He was also stabbed with a knife in the chest and neck. He died on the spot.

The Porus police said the cousin turned himself in following the incident but has not yet been charged.

One resident said the incident was a hot topic on the streets.

Unconfirmed reports suggests that the two had frequent disputes from time to time but none had got serious to the degree it did on Wednesday.

Attempts to ascertain a contact number for the family were unsuccessful.
