Driver punished for throwing stones |

|
A man accused of throwing stones at a motorist with whom he had a motor vehicle accident, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, charged with assault occasioning bodily harm. The court heard that on the day in question, Oniel Lewis, a bus driver, got into an accident involvng the complainant. It is alleged that both had a discussion and while the complainant was searching for his documents, Lewis threw several stones into the bus hitting him. Lewis, however, said after the accident, he went to the complainant who told him that he was "on his own". He said the complainant attempted to drive off and that was when he threw the stones. Lewis was fined $10,000 or six months. |
