Nurse's bail extended for false report |

|
A nurse accused of falsely reporting that her handbag and her child's passport were stolen, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday. The woman, identified as Nicole Evans of a Corporate Area address, was adamant that she is wrongfully accused of the charge of making a false statement. According to the allegations, Evans applied for a new passport for her daughter after she reported that it was lost. It is alleged that in August last year the accused reported that her handbag was stolen which contained her daughter's passport. However, the police later found out the passport was in the possession of the child's father. The allegations indicated that Evans was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport in February with relation to making a false report. Evans bail was extended and she was ordered to return to court on September 30 for mentioning. |
